Since beginning my music career in Paris, France I have performed three times at one of Paris’ most celebrated jazz clubs, Duc des Lombards, at Sunside/Sunset and at the new hot spot for jazz music in Paris: La Petite Halle. As much as I enjoy performing in Paris, combining my passion for music and new travel experiences is even better! Since 2014, I have performed in five African countries (Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Congo, Mauritius) working as a Music Ambassador with the United States Embassy. And since 2016, with the release of my debut album, I have added a few European countries, Jamaica and the US to the list of places I have performed as well.

Here are some of the countries where I have performed in the last two years:

Belarus & Belgium. It was such a treat to begin my year performing in this gorgeous Opera style venue (The Palace of Trade Unions) in Minsk, Belarus. It was  filled to the brim with an enthusiastic audience, and I received flowers and gifts  – which was a first!

My first time in neighboring Belgium was to perform with the Florian Pellissier Quintet at this historic barn house turned theatre style Jazz club (Hnita Hoeve) in Heist-op-den-Berg. It was such a cool venue with neighborhood regulars and the kindest owner, Peter.

Cape Verde & Congo.  With such rich musical traditions and being the birthplace of one of my singing heroines (Cesária Évora) getting on stage in front of over 8,000 people for their independence day celebration in Mindelo, Cape Verde was nothing short of a thrill.  In Brazzaville, Congo every move I made on stage was followed by screams from the audience – I think my custom designed outfit matched my mood.

Port Antonio, Jamaica & SF Bay Area, California.  When I am able to spend time with my loved ones and perform, life is super sweet! Both of these concerts provided these two joys. New Years eve seaside in my favorite parish of Jamaica, needs no explanation, and two nights singing in the Bay Area at  San Francisco’s Black Cat and Oakland’s Soundroom brought my nearest and dearest into one room.
